5th Grade News Wax Museum Update
As we near Catholic School's Week and our 5th grade Wax Museum presentation, please note that the one-page student paper is due no later than this Monday - January 23rd for Mrs. Rajkovich's class. Two to three paragraphs is more than sufficient. However, if a student wants to include more information than one page, that is certainly acceptable! Students should also be working on memorizing their one minute monologue. Many students have asked, "Can we use note cards?" Ideally, the one minute monologue should be memorized. After a few taps on the shoulder during the presentation and the student giving their monologue many times, memorization will fall quickly into place!
The D.A.R.E. t-shirt order form will be going home on Monday, January 23rd. If you would like your child to receive a D.A.R.E. t-shirt, the cost will be $7.00. The students will receive their t-shirt at the D.A.R.E. graduation ceremony at the end of February. T-shirt orders must be received by THURSDAY, JANUARY 26. Again, the t-shirt order form will go home on Monday and purchasing a t-shirt is optional.
Report cards will be distributed on Tuesday, January 24th. The students continue to work hard! Please praise their efforts. We have a short week as there is a Teacher's Institute scheduled for this Friday - January 27th. There will be no classes.
As always, we appreciate your continued support, and wish God's Blessings to you and yours! Mrs. Rajkovich Mrs. Petrik-Simon New Year's Prayer
God, thank you for a new year. May everyone be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that you are always ready to forgive us. Help us to be willing to forgive ourselves and to forgive one another.
As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and our love for one another. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to look to the future, so that we might live in peace with you now, one day at a time. Amen. |
